Secrets Never Die starts off with high tension and drama. Morgan and Lance work together to solve a mastery and save the day. In some ways it seems like this series should be predictable by now, and it is, but once I started reading, I didn't want to put the book down.Some things that are getting old: Sharp making green smoothies for Lance, Sharp shaming Morgan eating donuts and drinking coffee, sheriff dept always being suspicious of Morgan even though she solves all the high profile cases, Morgan and/or Lance already knowing the suspect & believing they're 100% innocent and must be saved. Also, Lance and Morgan feel more like work buddies than a couple. The romance has fizzled. In spite of that, if you like this series, Secrets Never Die is another winner!
and author melinda leigh hit it out of the park again with the latest book in the Morgan Dane series! loved it and could not put it down as i read it in a day . . . . i love the characters as the reader gets swept up in the lives of Morgan and Lance as they are partners at work as well as being engaged as well as Sharp and Jenny as they deal with issues of their own and of course Morgan's adorable girls - i cannot wait for the next book to come out!
I have enjoyed all of Ms. Leigh’s books. Her “Morgan Dane†books are terrific. Morgan Dane is a wonderful character...strong, smart, ethical and a defense lawyer who used to be a prosecutor. She is also a great mom to three wonderful little girls. I really like the relationship she has with her grandfather. Lance Kruger is a private investigator and Morgan’s fiancée. Lincoln Sharp owns Sharp Investigations and is Lance’s boss. Lance was shot when he was a police officer, but his instincts, physical stamina and understanding of the legal system from when he was on the job make him an excellent investigator. Morgan has an office in Lincoln’s building, and the three of them work very well together. This is very good since some of their cases are unusual. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I like all of Melinda Leigh’s book; however, the Morgan Dane series is my favorite! Morgan and Lance are so good together; he loves her girls! This book was interesting to me, because there was that surprise mafia connection; also, Paul’s killer was a shocker! I’m just happy that, finally, “At Last,†Morgan has overcome her wedding fears......hopefully, there will be a wedding soon! Sharp and Olivia came so close to being killed; they definitely have chemistry! I look forward to hearing more about these two in the future! Everything I like in a book.......romance and mystery!
This was another suspense filled book in the Morgan Dane series.Great writing action, suspense and surprises. Melinda does a Great job. I highly recommend this book for mature readers.Keep up the good ðŸ‘work!
J: OMG, what a great story, but of course they all are. I was on the edge of my seat. I loved the main characters and their children were adorable. I can hardly wait for the next one.
I love this cast of characters. Each is a strong personality and contributes to the flow of the story. Lance and Morgan are great together. Adding the supplemental characters just e enhances their stories. This is a wonderful mystery, thriller with lots of emotion thrown in. Love this author's writing style!
